Paddle North Chick

Judy Varner, TC Varner, and Don Deakins launched our kayaks at the Greenway on Hamill Road and paddled North Chickamauga Creek. From the launch site we paddled upstream until encountering a tree across the creek just north of Hamill Road. There was no way around or over this obstruction so we turned around and began making our way downstream with Chickamauga Dam as our destination. After a short tour of the idled lock construction at the dam, we began our trip back to the launch site which completed our 7 mile event.
