3 Trails With CHC

Ava Navin, Caroline Woerner, Bob DeHart, Carol Deakins, and Don Deakins joined Chattanooga Hiking Club for an entire day of hiking which encompassed three different trails near Spring City. We began in Grandview with an approximate 2 mile trip to Upper Piney Falls and Lower Piney Falls. After completing that hike we headed to Stinging Fork State Natural Area on Shut In Gap Road where we hiked to Indian Head Point Overlook and then on to Stinging Fork Falls for a late lunch break. Our third stop was at the Piney River trail head where we hiked to Twin Rocks Overlook and returned to the trail head via the Flat Rock Loop Trail. Our total distance today was about 6.5 miles but it included some strenuous sections so it felt like we hiked much farther. Thanks to CHC for a fun day on the trail.
