Flipper Bend

Judy Varner, TC Varner, Bob DeHart, and Don Deakins hiked about 9 miles at Flipper Bend on a perfect day for hiking which just happened to fall between rainy days. This trail, although long, is relatively easy because much of it is near level, however there are a few long steep climbs that will get your heart pumping. We finished the day with energy to spare even after bushwhacking the last mile but we are ready to kick back and enjoy a day of rest during the rain forecast for tomorrow.
